Speech and language interventions for stroke-induced aphasia

The aim of the present study was to investigate whether use video recordings interactions involving persons with aphasia and speech-language pathology students enhance students’ competence as conversation partners people communicative disabilities. A further explore experiences perspectives from viewpoint both participating aphasia. Six met 34 speech language in pairs for 10 minutes conversation. were transcribed, order identify phenomena influencing interaction. answered a questionnaire about assignment. semi-structured group interview aphasic individuals conducted. analyses conversations answers revealed that gained important knowledge on how may affect limit individuals’ activity participation, hands-on insights into different interactional strategies possibilities interaction, but also highlighting behaviors be less beneficial. perceived rewarding. results demonstrate benefits patients health education recordings, transcriptions, subsequent analysis.
